Broke-ish to Functioning: Step 10!!

Step 10: Enjoy Your Damn Life
If you haven't already, Start with the instructions:
You made it.
Not because you are suddenly rich.
Not because every financial problem disappeared.
But because you built a system.
You know your numbers.
You save automatically.
You built emergency savings.
You got ahead on bills.
You attacked your debt.
You started preparing for retirement.
Now comes something financial advice sometimes forgets to mention:
Enjoy the Money.
Seriously.
What was the point of doing all of this if you never allow yourself to enjoy your life?
Step 10 is where your goals become personal.
Maybe you want to:
Pay off your mortgage
Buy your first home
Upgrade your house
Travel
Work less
Start a business
Help your family
Buy something you have always wanted
Just breathe
This step looks different for everybody.
Maybe You Pay Off the House
For some people, the next big goal will be becoming completely debt-free.
Mortgage and all.
You may decide to start making extra principal payments and slowly eliminate your housing debt.
That can create even more freedom later.
Maybe You Buy a Home
Maybe you have spent this entire process renting.
Now that your debt is under control, your savings are stronger, and your finances are more stable, homeownership may become your next goal.
That could mean saving for:
A down payment
Closing costs
Moving expenses
Home repairs
Furniture
Your future emergency fund as a homeowner
You can now approach a major purchase from a much stronger position.
Maybe You Just Start Living
Take the vacation.
Go to the concert.
Have date night.
Buy the hobby supplies.
Take your family somewhere.
Spend money on things that genuinely make your life better.
Without destroying your finances to do it.
That is the difference.
The goal was never:
Never spend money again.
The goal was:
Stop spending money today at the expense of tomorrow.
Once tomorrow is being taken care of too?
You get to enjoy today.
Keep the System Running
Step 10 does not mean throwing the budget away and pretending Steps 1–9 never happened.
Keep saving.
Keep investing.
Keep your emergency fund funded.
Keep planning for large purchases.
But now you have room for something else too:
Fun.
Financial stability should give you more freedom to live your life.
Not make you afraid to spend a dollar forever.
This Is What “Functioning” Was About
We were never trying to become billionaires overnight.
We were trying to get from:
Broke-ish to Functioning.
Functioning means an unexpected bill does not automatically become a crisis.
Functioning means you know where your money is going.
Functioning means you have savings.
Functioning means retirement is being funded.
Functioning means you can spend money on something fun without immediately regretting it.
And functioning means money starts becoming a tool instead of a constant source of stress.
Your Step 10 Goal
Ask yourself:
What do I want my money to allow me to do?
There is no correct answer.
This is your life.
You did the hard work so you could actually live it.
Your Turn
If money stopped being one of your biggest stressors, what is ONE thing you would want to do?
Travel? Buy a house? Pay off your mortgage? Start a business? Retire early? Just breathe?
Drop it in the comments.
Because Step 10 is the reason we did Steps 1–9.
